The beach is closed indefinitely until further notice due to the detection of harmful algae or cyanobacteria that can cause sickness to human or pets if droplets are swallowed, touched or breathed.

The lake will be closed to all recreation at least the weekend.
As you know the beach has been working with the county and the state to identify and have useful information about with this algae bloom is, why were seeing so many dead bass and of course, when we can reopen. some of our preliminary tests results are in and they arent great were waiting for 2 more results to come. what we know. we still have a live algae bloom that is effecting the entre lake we re close duntil the county days we can reopen , the state very strongly recommends no recreational use pf the the entire lake until the county clears us, this algae is reates to an over abundance of certain nutrients in the lake, phosphates and nitrogen and not related to anything e coli based.

Stay away from the lake. Report any symptoms or illnesses that can be accused by the blue green algae blooms using the link provided below:
you can also contact poison control or the county. reporting systems helps the county to track outbreak and symptoms related to the bloms, Have this info for everyone stays safe.
